The Qara smudging fan is a handcrafted feather fan designed to disperse fragrant smoke during smudging rituals and enhance magical practices. Usage:
Hold the smoldering smudge stick in one hand and the fan in the other. With gentle sweeping movements, first fan the smudge stick to disperse the smoke (if using aromatic resin in a closed lamp, skip this step). Then, spread the smoke around anything that needs cleansing. For body cleansing, smudge from head to toe, both front and back, paying attention to the sides and hands, including palms. During this process, feel where there are the most significant blockages and pause there for a moment. This method can also be used to cleanse any object or space.
